Brandon Yan

Associate, Impact Acceleration

Raised in a family where education was both a profession and a path to opportunity, Brandon developed an early appreciation for the role it plays in shaping long-term mobility. That perspective continues to ground his commitment to expanding equitable education and workforce outcomes, particularly for historically underserved populations.

At the Education Impact Fund, Brandon works on the Impact Acceleration team, where he draws on experience across operating in ed tech, early-stage investing, and strategy consulting to support mission-driven companies with scaling their missions. He is especially motivated by helping founders translate strong impact intentions into measurable outcomes and commercial success.

Most recently, he advised institutional investors and corporates at L.E.K. Consulting across due diligence and growth strategy engagements. Prior to L.E.K., he spent time at TeachFX, a Series A ed tech startup, working alongside educators to evolve the product, learning about many of the structural challenges impeding equity of voice in K–12 classrooms along the way. He first encountered TeachFX while completing a co-op at Osage Venture Partners, where he supported the due diligence for its Series A during his undergraduate studies at Drexel University.
