Nishitha Viswanathan

Nishitha grew up with a life built in California and a family rooted in India; and came to understand early that for many, where you're born shapes what you can reach for. That conviction led her (while still in college) to found Dhadkan, a 501(c)(3) funding education for children in rural India. It was her first lesson in what happens when you combine grassroots belief with real organizational muscle—and it's never really left her.

That thread runs directly through her work at EIF. For Nishitha, ed tech investing is the intersection of two things she's always cared about: the transformative power of education and the potential for technology to reach people traditional systems leave behind.

Nishitha began her career in startups, bringing AI-enabled health tech to hospitals across the U.S. and India with Stasis Labs and TigerConnect. She went on to found Versai, a startup building synchronized multimedia tech for creative collaboration, and most recently joined FINCA Ventures to put her energy behind founders building for impact. She holds an MS in Development Management with a focus on venture capital for impact from American University, and a BA from UC Santa Barbara.
