Eric Nelson

Senior Associate, Impact Investing

As the son of a first-generation Korean mother, the importance of education was imprinted on Eric at an early age. After he attended one of the most diverse intercity high schools in Seattle, Eric was fortunate to continue his education at Santa Clara University, a private Jesuit college in the Bay Area. The collection of these experiences impressed on Eric the importance of diverse learning environments and the importance that education plays in accessing economic opportunities.

Eric started his career working in corporate financial planning and analysis, and prior to this role, Eric worked for Hercules Capital, a publicly traded asset manager, where he invested in leading West Coast companies across consumer, Internet and software verticals. Eric holds a bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
