Vera Song

Director, Impact Investing

Having experienced different education systems across China and the United States, Vera has seen firsthand how access to education and opportunity can shape an individual’s path. With a background in private equity and consulting, Vera is an operating-minded investor with deep experience in education, technology, and the future of work.

Before joining ECMC Group, Vera spent six years at Achieve Partners, a middle-market private equity firm investing at the intersection of workforce, education, business services, and technology. There, she led investments and worked closely with management teams on growth strategy, go-to-market, organizational development, and other strategic priorities. Earlier in her career, Vera was a consultant at Boston Consulting Group, where she worked with companies across a range of industries, including education, retail, and energy.

At the Education Impact Fund, Vera partners with entrepreneurs building innovative and scalable solutions that expand access to education and economic mobility. She is excited to bring her experience to support founders and management teams as they build and grow their companies.

Vera earned a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School and a Master of Education from the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania and received her undergraduate degree from Rice University. She currently lives in Miami with her husband, her son, and their three rescue cats.
